LIFE Groups
Jesus said “I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20). Being a Christ-follower means never being alone. Faith is never practiced or grows in isolation. Calvary believes that it is vital for all believers to actively participate in a LIFE group. A LIFE group is an environment where a group of people meet to study, discuss and apply the teachings of the Bible. This is our primary place for people to connect for encouragement, prayer, community and service.
At Calvary, we have two "tracks" to engage in group life.
- Sunday morning LIFE groups – these life groups meet Sunday morning at 9:00 am. We offer women only, men only, and coed life groups.
- Community LIFE groups – these life groups meet during the week in members homes. Some of these groups are kid-friendly and usually meet around a meal.
Our life groups are not only for the study of the Bible but are active in connecting its truth to our daily lives and as a witness to our community and neighbors. This involves monthly service projects and each group being connected with one of our mission partners for support, prayer and the meeting of immediate needs. Life groups are also encouraged to aid mission partners with hands-on support through our short term missions program.
